Dear Owensmouth Families,
Welcome to Week 10! As we reach the official midpoint of the semester, this is a critical time for our students to ensure all class assignments and credits are up to date to stay on track for graduation. Please talk with your student about their current progress.
Here are the key announcements and upcoming events for the week:
- Parent-Teacher Conferences (Starts Tomorrow): Confirmed conference appointments begin tomorrow. We look forward to connecting with you to discuss your student's progress and goals.
- Parent Information Meeting: Join us on Tuesday at 12:30 PM for an informational parent meeting to review school and district updates. In person or via Zoom.
- Zoom Meeting ID: 873 3107 2179
- The Great ShakeOut Drill: On Thursday at 10:15 AM, our campus will participate in the annual Great ShakeOut earthquake drill to practice our emergency preparedness.
- Daily Attendance Push: Consistent attendance remains a top priority. We are counting down to our 50th Day of School on October 23, so please ensure your student arrives on time every day!
- Spirit Days & Awareness:
- Pink Wednesdays: Wear pink every Wednesday as we recognize and show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
- College Thursdays: Students are encouraged to wear their favorite college swag every Thursday.
- Save the Date: Our upcoming College Fair will take place on October 22.
- Monthly PBIS Focus: We continue to focus on our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) expectation for October: RESPECTFUL. We appreciate your support in reinforcing respect at home, at school, and in the community.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in your student’s education. Have a fantastic week!
Warm regards,
Owensmouth High School
